I was born in 1981 and have always been attracted to storytelling, in many different forms. My first big reading experience was when my mother read the whole Lord of the Rings to me when I was ten. I have always created stories for myself, and started to play and create roleplaying games and larps when I was a teenager. After high school I went to a writer’s school, in a Swedish folkhögskola. After that I educated myself in social anthropology and got some work experience. I went on designing larps on my spare time. In my mid twenties I became a theatre pedagogue and started a roleplay educational company. I worked for some years at a company called Lajvverkstaden, mainly as a pedagogue and game designer, doing interactive roleplaying games for schools. I started freelancing and did a lot of other (mostly analogue) projects that were in the field of games and learning. I was in a big team making a larp called The Monitor Celestra, in the world of Battlestar Galactica on a warship. I also made a game about honor culture called Brudpris with talented co-designer Carolina Dahlberg. I worked at youth organisation Sverok, developing games for a Swedish student organisation about the Swedish election. I also did a board game for the cultural organisation Ax, called “Gräv!” (Dig!) I had my kid in 2014 and also co-wrote a book with my husband about Swedish role playing history, called Finna dolda ting. After three years at Sverok I applied to Futuregames, to broaden my game design experience, while also working on Parmiddagen with Swedish Radio. In my spare time I write for the TV blog TV-dags and I always have at least one or several interactive games on the side in development (see published ones under analogue games).      

The interactive way of storytelling is the still the form that I am most comfortable in. I like that the narrative is affected by the big X-factor – the players. My job is to set the stage and then try to figure out how my story will combine with the players’ intentions. It makes the stories I like more dynamic and unpredictable, and therefore more interesting. I play a lot. Role playing games, computer games, board games. And I larp when ever I have the time and means to do so.
